Godzilla!!!!!!
Maybe it was the wine, but the movie reminded me of my youth!
Loved it, despite my wife's eye rolling. Roar!

I see a movie in theaters about once every 5 years. Made the trip for this one. It was great.

Us too, we haven't been to a movie for about 10 years. We did have a date night before the kids came along. That was ten years ago. Finally my kids and I go and see the big Japanese monster. I was disappointed due to the fact that there weren't too much monster fights in the movie.
my kids were getting tired of the story line. More fights, more fights!

If you liked the 1954 Godzilla, you might enjoy the original Japanese version, "Gojira", from which the U.S. version was cut and pasted. It can be found on-line with English sub-titles. Gives another completely different spin on the story.

I really liked the new movie. It wasn't ground breaking, but I thought it was a good rehash of an old movie. I liked how the sound they used was similar to the original. There was a bit more story and not as much Godzilla as I would have preferred, but it was still worth a watch or two.

Was there plenty of city destruction? I only like these movies when monsters level a city.
