How many years have you owned your Porsche?

I was thinking yesterday...going to be 15 years since I bought my car from the original owner in 2000...15 YEARS! still rolling at 183, 400 miles!

Please post a pic of your 'baby'!, and if you have a 'pet-name' for your car.

19 for the current one. 21 years for the one before the current Porsche.

For the current one, not quite four years.

i think i've had ingrid for nine years. the previous '83 944 i owned for maybe six years. i also had a 924, in my twenties. i owned the 924 for about six weeks and sold it for a profit. i got pulled over 7 times in 6 weeks in that bright red 924. not one ticket. one officer told me, "it looked like you were going fast." um.... okay.... :)

Nice 944...

In 2003, I got pulled over in Pomona after a cop saw me going thru an intersection. No less than 4 squad cars positioned themselves within 5 minutes strategically near, but not blocking my car.

Officer told me that I was going 50...I asked if he could validate that claim, since it was not on radar, and would not stand up in court. He closed his ticket book without saying a word, got back in his ride, and that was that!

Wow, this Porsche looks exactly like my 86 N/A 944 with the 16" cup wheels on spacers. I have the dark red interior which is in great shape. I picked this car up 2 years ago after someone t-boned me in my 83 944 when they ran a stop sign at 60MPH.

I've owned my SC for 16 years but it's been off the road a total of 5 years in that 16!
Two different restoration periods and a gearbox rebuild will do that. (Body, Electrics and interior refresh)

Right now she's running like a champ but the I plan on rebuilding the braking system over the Christmas break.
Once that's done it should be (I Hope) just maintenance and consumables.

She owes me a total of about $40,000 total including the sale price...
If you do the maths that pretty cheap motoring and certainly cheaper than buying any new car!
