:D :D :D :D :D

Ya beat me to it.

A friend of mine just went through the "fun" of getting his 17 year old daughter a different used car. She had it for just 48 hours and was driving home and saw a deer standing in the road. She had plenty of time to slow down and came to a stop and there were no cars coming up behind her. As she was waiting for the deer to get off the road another deer ran into the side of her car and left a large dent. There was much crying involved.

LOL

Was wondering how long that would take.

OT never disappoints.

Those bikes are a hazard to wildlife and should be banned from our roads and highways!;)

That was a hard hit!

berettafan 12-18-2014 06:32 AM

here in flat land I've never been past about 23 mph and let me tell you it was a scary sensation. I can not imagine a wipeout at that speed.

That's bucked up...;) Looks like he got a good center mass shot though.

Riveting film of a GoPro mounted on a pedal bike fork stem

It's hard to joke about the stupidity of the film as it turned out quite cool as Rudolph was in Christmas Escape mode.

Probably cut off a Porsche enthusiast or 2 in his day, Karma cashed in the ugly credits :)

What about the poor guy riding the bike? That was a hard hit!

Tobra 12-18-2014 12:09 PM

I bet I have been down that road on a bicycle a hundred times, never saw a deer there, but they were all over the place in the less developed areas of the Marin Headlands. That guy got hurt fairly badly, I would be willing to wager, looks like he busted up his bike pretty good anyway.

I hit a duck one time going about 25 mph, big male Mallard that caught me right in the chest. Knocked the wind out of me and stunned him, but we both walked away from it.

Once outside las vegas going down a steep grade I hit 56mph!! I passed a cadillac on a corner and vowed to never try and do that again. One flat tire front or rear and I would be really screwed up.

I did the exact same thing on RT 23 near Great Barrington, MA. After a "Woo hoo", I started getting paranoid about heat in the tires. I lifted up and used my body to slow down. 56, when the national speed limit was 55.

Was the rider a wuss. Why ride so slow in the breakdown lane for any reason. If he had been going with traffic, this would not happen. The deer might have hit the car behind him. A new rider on a new bike. Oh well.

He's on a bicycle...

strupgolf 12-18-2014 04:27 PM

Oh really, nevermind.

vash 12-19-2014 12:08 AM

Was that a moan at the end?

Scott Douglas 12-19-2014 08:51 AM

Sounded like the deer, not the rider, to me.

mattdavis11 12-19-2014 06:32 PM

What an idiot. Why anyone would ride on a road like that, is beyond me. I've see plenty of Lance wanna be's here. See them every day. They must all be on dope too. If you're after the exercise, ride up hill, like the other two.

I hope the State of California goes after him for damages to the deer.

You can't be serious..you do realize that the other two going uphill will eventually be going downhill. Bad timing , that's all.
