If they don't do it (or pretend to be doing it) viewers don't see how it's done. For that, I'm appreciative no matter how slow the going. It's a cool car but for what it will be, it's irrationally complex--which works for them (except the aging part).

New episode. My favorite comment, "I started watching Project
Binky as a child; I now enjoy watching new episodes with my grandchildren"

Their dedication is admirable but that level of detail is just silly.... Or the only way to do it properly?

Did I understand correctly their pursuit of the ideal function knobs led them into making and selling their refined versions?
The attention to detail these guys exhibit is awe- inspiring to me. I think there a number of Pelicans who could work beside them.
Just seeing the process and results make me smile. Love it.

I wonder if they do things just to show they can, not necessarily because they need to.

I have watched every episode until now.
5 minutes into this one and I shut it down.
Can't do it anymore.

My OCD kept me until the end and looking forward to the next episode. I just geek out over that stuff.

They do it for the ad revenue. That episode was insane - more advert than content.

I think one of the reasons I appreciate the in depth, dragged out details of this build is that I brings me back to reality of building or restoring vehicles. A lot can be done in a period of time, but properly finishing the details is usually a long slog. I have to face the truth. I don't have the patience to properly restore anything more complex than a rock.

That's why I stick to motorcycles these days. So much easier than a car to restore.

I may still have an itch to scratch with another 914-6 but, if I'm ever dumb enough to go down that road again, I'll sub it out.

The more episodes they produce the more it becomes obvious
we are being played.

I suspect they have screwed up on the utube algorithms. They certainly aren't producing content on a weekly basis. At this point it becomes less about production and more about content.
I'm content with that.
