Far from being a dick, the guy posts some stupid chain letter and I called him on it. What's the dick part about it?

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. I think a dick move is to try to sneak your political agenda without showing any proof whatsoever. Chain letters being lowest of the low.

Well, back to our regularly scheduled programming.... In case any one is interested, here are the weapons we used on American Sniper. These are Mk 13's, Remington 700 long action w/ Dakota Arms bottom metal, 300 Win mag. The scopes are Nightforce 8-32x56 NXS, just like Chris used....

These are the 2 Mk 12's that BC carried as his weapon......

Thanks Mr Craigster... Those photos made my day! I'm guessing these were built by an armorer based in Hollywood.

Great details, Is that a field dressing taped to the stock?

Very cool pictures, Craigster. I should mention that the tag on the last one is not referring to CK as a war hero.

I think "Hero" means the one of the two that is used for filming. The second one is a backup.

I'm sure Craigster or Denis will correct me if I'm wrong.

It is the gun, (or car or chainsaw or whatever), that appears on camera.

I've always wondered were the term came from.

Is it a "gaming" thing or earlier than that?

It goes back to the earlier days of film making. A "hero" prop is anything that will be featured on camera, so multiple versions are on hand in case of breakage, loss, camera resets, etc. Rubber replicas are even made for action sequences, underwater filming, throwing, dropping, etc.

That is a real problem.

Saw the movie tonight and though it was a decent film about an extraordinary man.
I'd mentioned(linked) the legal fiasco but wanted to make myself clear: Whether it happened or not Ventura went way too far and in extremely poor form. That whole situation should never have happened.
