83 911 Production Cab #10

Its down the drain for Sears in Canada (no longer associated with Sears USA), one more Xmas and all stores will be shut down in January.
I think the Southern version is not too far away. Sears Canada wants court's permission to liquidate all remaining stores - Business - CBC News

Sad.
When I was a new apprentice, I would stop in and shop the on sale tools every week. I still have the majority of those tools today. Kind of a nice memory.

I may have already said this- but if I had a time machine:
I would go back in time (not really that far) and make SEARS the amazon of the 21st century. Imagine if you could order 21st century sears with the online convenience of amazon using all the 20th century sears outlets as real world distribution/service centers in addition to the amazon delivery. Even better yet- IMAGINE- opening an online 19th century nostalgic SEARS catalog of everything 21st century (amazon) at your fingertips. I'd take SEARS everytime. Just today, I ordered a Sears Craftsman 53" wide tool chest cabinet with 8 roller drawers to be delivered next Friday to the store for me to pick up. (less than half price $300 off). I hope they stay in business at least that long.

Me also, right around 1988 when I got into cars, my parents got me one of those 300 piece sets for x mas I still have many of the original tools from that set, that I have been using professionally since 1990.

I spent a six year old gift card last week so that I wouldn't be left holding the bag. It's unlikely they will make it past Q1 2018

I still use the Craftsman tools I bought in college 20+ years ago when I bought my first motorcycle.
I drove by my local Sears this past weekend. It was shuttered. I had just purchased stufffrom there last holiday season.

I still have a few toys that I ordered from the Sears catalog when I was 11 years old. They are in my old room at Mom and Dad's house, haha. They had the best stuff back then.

In Honolulu, they are actually opening up a new Sears Appliance and Mattress Center.
