In a situation like this you tell your wife, girlfriend or both... I don't know what it's doing outside but in here they're calling for 6-8" all night long :D

Saw this two weeks ago on the road to Badger Pass in Yosemite. Now Badger is closed due to lack of snow. Maybe the State should loan it to the east coast?

Close up. I used to live in W. Stockbridge, MA. It looks like they are in the 24-36" range.

Except, that I lived west of a North-South ridge. Our side of the valley would always get a lot more snow due to the updraft.

Can't - metro NYC area has a ban on travel from 11:00pm until ?? - except for emergencies and snow removal vehicles. All bridges and tunnels into and out of NYC have been shut down as of 11:00pm.

Over-reaction, but at least there won't be folks out there getting in the way of the snow removal folks.

Methinks folks in the Buffalo area are all laughing at us now....

THANK YOU! When your news runs 24/7, gotta have something to discuss. Fan the fires of panic and hysteria, keep them watching from their bunkers as it lightly snows outside. Wait, it's cold and snowing during the winter? Nooooooo!

Nothing is upstate NY, what? Thought the world was ending according to the news. And id wasn't just Fox News.

Shaun @ Tru6 01-27-2015 05:08 AM

We have about a foot on the ground, snowing very hard, strong wind.

dafischer 01-27-2015 05:51 AM

What a bust. Here in Western NJ, we got about 3-4 inches from yesterday morning through last night. At least I won't be spending quality time with the snow blower today.

afterburn 549 01-27-2015 05:57 AM

Nothing here yet.
What happened?
We used to just work through this crap..now its a National emergency !

widgeon13 01-27-2015 05:58 AM

I watched the news this morning. In the entire world last night only on thing happened. It snowed.
I don't mind covering something like this as a news story, but the media has gone completely off its rocker over weather.

Jim Cantore wouldn't have a job and be in the way of the snowplows if it weren't the "STORM OF THE CENTURY", it gives the weather channel a reason for being.
