So Island, isn't Mg a tad brittle brittle for a being-banged-around application like a laptop. As I understand it, Mg would have better thermal transfer and be light but one could imagine that it would have to be made thicker to withstand the abuse.

Call me old fashion, but what about good `ol Aluminum? I have owned two excellent examples of engineering using the Aluminum medium. #1 Klein mountain bike (before they sold out to Trek). #2 Nikon F4 SLR camera (die cast no less). Both were very lightweight, and both held up to some pretty nasty abuse.

Personally..........
Having worked for Best Buy, I think I'll pass.
Couldn't imagine turning one of these over to the "highly trained computer techs"(spelled M.O.R.O.N.) they employ.
