It's a much better proposition than buying something newer that hemorrhages money from day one.

There are so many options now for these older classics and the best part is if you buy them for the right money at the other end you get most if not all of that money back.
I get why people like newer cars but I DIY everything so I'd rather drive a classic.

Here's a R-R engine with after market EFI (The kit is made in Scotland). Not cheap but with this upgrade you could drive an old Roller indefinitely.

Well worth the investment IMO. (Rolls Royce, you either get why or you don't)

Later model Merc stuff is around in cheap wrecks. Amazing how easy a 300CE takes even a supercharged V8 monster from a late model Merc. If you buy the wreck you get other parts like big brakes etc.
