I might have made that mistake in the opposite way.

I would coach the Leafs for 50 million but not a penny less!;)

Rangers look to be in trouble. Lundquist may not be able to save them.

12 goals in two games does indeed spell trouble. If the Rangers don't win Friday it will be 3-1 again. I don't think they can pull off another comeback against a team like TB. Lundy can't do it all, although that winning goal was a stinker.

I think even John "Cheech" Garrett woulda had that one & you just know Lundquist would love to have it back. The 'blueshirts' look to be in a spot of bother at the moment. The Bolts looking a little too good for the Rangers.

Cheers

Lundquist didn't expect the shot. 3 defenders played soft and it was a quick release.

May be a TB vs ducks final - which will devastate the purists.

True, that's prolly why he was so deep in the crease (hindsight is great). I would really enjoy an original 6 final for the Cup but I'll take a fiercely competed expansion final because I luv this sport.

After seeing a replay from behind the net it appears his defenceman backed in too far and then screened him. He never saw the puck until it was too late.

With 3 guys back ya gotta assume one of them will pressure the puck. Or not. And you lose.

flatbutt 05-27-2015 07:46 PM

Wow both conference finals going 7 games. The Cup final could be epic.

Hawkeye's-911T 05-28-2015 10:34 AM

You guys south of the 49th are lucky you don't have to put up with the 2 'hose-bags' (on CBC) doing the play-by-play of the Hawks/Ducks games. These guys would screw up a free night in a whore house. I watch the game with the sound off to avoid their inane, banal & at times, vacuous commentary. They are, simply put, brutal. Some pretty good & exciting hockey going on - the PVR is getting quite the workout in light of the fact it is summer weather outdoors.

Cheers

You gotta love how the snarl ramps up with each game after 4.
I'm looking forward to the Rangers / Bolts game Friday.

Speaking of brutal. When Mike Milbury was asked how to handle Corey Perry he said "If I was playing against Perry I'd probably want to hurt him in some painful and permanent way"
Milbury’s ‘tongue-in-cheek’ remarks about Perry discussed, says NBC exec (Video) | ProHockeyTalk
Of course, if you know Mike M's history, you'd know that he was only half joking.

Me too...full honesty though I didn't think the Rangers had another comeback in their gas tank.

My wife, who has become a rabid hockey fan, really doesn't like Milbury. She thinks he's a jerk. That comment didn't help thing, especially since she's adopted the Ducks.

I am picking the Rangers and the Ducks. I think the experience of the Rangers will work in their favour. And the Ducks are bigger and stronger. But hate to bet against Toews.

I could easily be wrong on both...

flatbutt 05-29-2015 08:35 PM

WOW did the Rangers play poorly tonight. I suppose you can fight back from 3-1 only so many times before you run out of gas. The Bolts played incredible D.

nostatic 05-29-2015 08:39 PM

I think it is more that the Lightning played stellar defense.

McDonough is one tough mofo.

I really like Jon Cooper.

I hope my wife doesn't die of a heart attack watching game 7 tomorrow. She was screaming tonight for the Lightning.

flatbutt 05-29-2015 08:41 PM

I bet Henrik will be seeing that 5 holer in his dreams. He fought off some hot shots!

stomachmonkey 05-29-2015 08:41 PM

As an Islander fan I am obligated to be ecstatic about tonight's result.

flatbutt 05-29-2015 08:56 PM

HA! As a Devils fan I understand. I was really hoping for an original 6 Cup final.
