Anyone in Denver do me a solid?

I need a place to stash a bike, (MC), for a week or so. Not exactly like Rick Lee's situation but there is a buddy and a wife involved. It's my bike. Thanks.

C'mon, you can't just tease us with a story like that. Sounds like a good one.

A bike you need to stash, a buddy, and his wife. Are you trying to write a screenplay?

Denver is a really cool place for this kind of favor! I've already gotten multiple offers, thank you all.

The story is nothing very entertaining; bought a bike a week ago in Denver and have a life long friend there who went and grabbed it for me. Spur-of-the-moment, CL score.

My buddy dragged it home for me but he has so many bikes, (and lawn mowers/cars/etc.), that my bike basically pushed his wife's car outside. She's not thrilled, I can't retrieve it for at least several days and don't want it outside. That's about it!

Who do you like for the wife?

Mila Kunis maybe, but she is getting to where you almost would expect her in something like that. How about some new face that you never heard of before, you wouldn't have to pay them as much that way too.

For the bike, how about a cafe racered out Triumph Speed Triple

Take one of these

Have some people do something like this with it

You can do the whole thing with unknown actors on the cheap, the hook is they meet at the end for the celebratory party, they actually are meeting for the first time. You have little vignettes with the bike, get stunt riders, or riderz I suppose, depending on the tenor of the flick. You could even market fairings that look like the bike in the film

I'll have my people call your people, we'll do lunch

Speaking of going, my brother is going to Disneyland with a girlfriend and her autistic kid, I bet that will be a rough drive. If you

I am going to D-land next June for a conference. I better get my hotel reservations.

I ought to drive the Miata down to Crow's Landing in a couple weeks is what I ought to do. That is supposed to be a sweet slab of pavement, and it is only an hour and a half drive. I will have my taxes done and everything, why not $120 for a couple days, can't imagine a hotel could be too bad. Yeah

I wonder if I am on call that weekend.

I'm thinking Paul Rudd in the part of Speeder. Maybe Zach Galfanikas and Melissa McCarthy as the husband and wife. We'll make it a triple buddy road picture like the old Hope/Crosby/Lamour flicks.

We can probably ride this horse til it's dead through at least 3 sequels. Then we'll go back and do a pre-quel "Speeder And The Pimp Slap Of Doom". I'm thinking action figures, bobble-head dolls, the whole nine.

...still waiting...
Sorry about that. It's a 1973 BMW R75/5 LWB, last of the Mohicans as far as /5s go. It's black, which I prefer to the toaster tank bikes, though I know they're popular.

I bought it sight unseen in Denver about a week ago. I was browsing Search Tempest, (always dangerous), and there it was at a price that I could not pass up. It had gone up an hour before and the first one there was going to own it. I'm stoked, I've owned the exact bike twice before, (20 years ago), and never should have sold the better of the two. They've gone up some.

The latest is that he took it to work to clear the garage space, (said it ran great), I'd still like to get it into a Pelican garage but not sure how I can facilitate that from here. I plan on going to get it this week if possible, maybe a Denver get-together is in order. Lots of cool board members there.

It is now at my friend's workplace, the wife made him move it. It's outdoors and I'd really like to get it into a Pelican's garage but don't know how to accomplish that from here. He's done me 2 or 3 favors already and I don't want to ask him to transport it yet it gives me the creeps having it where it is.

It's approx at the intersection of the I-70 and Quebec right now. I'd post the Google map screen shot but I think I'm making it easy enough for a thief as it is.

I have a buddy about 20 minutes from there in Arvada, I can check with him. Only problem is, he doesn't have a truck or trailer to move it.

I live in Downtown Denver and have plenty of space in my garage...happy to help out. That's about 20 minutes from me in non-rush hour traffic. I can easily get it this weekend and I have a M on my license :-)

Let me know.
