On the road bike, I commonly see 180 bpm, though I can't keep that level of effort up for very long. That's like sprinting 30+ mph on the flat or climbing a hill fast. 150 bpm I can keep up for an extended period. That's like riding 25 mph on the flat or climbing a longer hill.
