I think what really bothered me is the wife (baby factory) that never had a cross look on her face, and never spoke a cross word in the episodes I was able to stomach. She always had that "praise the lord" look that freaked me out.

I am a believer also, but this kind of grace and tolerance doesn't exist in the real world, and I believe they kept having to change the name of the show (after each kid was born) because it meant more interest in their family, which meant more episodes, and more MONEY !.....Not really the image that Christianity wants to be associated with.

After pumping out that many kids, I'm sure their "marital relations" are akin to throwing a hot dog down a hallway.

Exactly! Nobody is that perfect. It's not human nature.
