Pluto Mission a Scam?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this ... but a friend who is always skeptical about everything believes that the Pluto mission is a scam. The images are computer generated. Not sure why a scam if its true but its possible. Of course they think we didn't land on the moon either.

computer generated?!

I thought it a hand sketch.

Lol. I'm not 100% sure the moon landings are real.

Slow day?

I mean.. It is pretty hard to believe that the society that brought us Honey Boo Boo has launched something that has been traveling 30,000 mph for nearly 7 years... ;)

I never understood those who doubted the moon landings.

The enormous effort involved in keeping hundreds of (if not much more) workers in keeping it secret would be incredible. Forty years later somebody would have let the cat out of the bag by now. To have pulled off a faked moon landing with a huge sigh of relief "We did it and fooled the world - now everyone just has to keep their mouths shut!".

And then they decide "Let's do it six more times".

And you just KNOW if there was one scintilla of evidence of fakery the Russians would be screaming FAKE. The Russians watched our every move and followed the landings closely. They KNOW we really landed an they were beaten.

If your friend thinks the Pluto mission and the moon landings are fake then does he believe that the Yeti or Bigfoot or that any other faith-based monsters are real? By faith I mean you have no scientific evidence to go on. Those who have decided to ignore the entirety of science are really really difficult to discuss anything with.

Same with the "9-1-1 was an inside job" crowd. No way. Someone would want to cash in by writing a book or going on The Today Show.

This is funny because most of the people I know that say the moon landings were fake also say the samsquanch is totally for real.

I always find moon landing hoaxers amusing. Amazing that we live in a society where people just cannot believe that we were once capable of such feats.

I believe I read that at it's peak, 500,000 people (all the contractors, etc) were employed by the Apollo program.

My favorite moon hoax clip, Bart Sibrel getting in Buzz Aldrin's grill about being a "liar, a coward and a thief" and getting belted upside the head. Never gets old.

I love that one too. To really get the full benefit you need to watch some of his other videos showing him ambushing the astronauts and getting in their faces. He had this coming. The best part is he cried to the police and tried to get them to press charges against Aldrin and they refused.

I'm officially dubbing Buzz "Speeder Sr."

onewhippedpuppy 07-16-2015 11:27 AM

Well, obviously your friend is an idiot.

Especially when you consider all of the stuff that you can see direct evidence for, some of which is thousands of years old.

I don't think we couldn't land on the moon I just don't think we could have back then.

The Russians are still trying to figure out how we did it with vacuum tubes some tin foil and gaffers tape.
