Yep looks nice settled in thr rear like that. Is he planning on nerf bars of some sort on the front?

Really wide front stance on the pickup in front, interesting front suspension on it too.

Will your friend be trailering the 37 to fla.? Or is it good for the long haul?

Here is a sweet mini rod. Based on an American Austin. Saw it at the small car show in Pacific Grove, part of Monterey Car week.

He and his wife are driving it to Fla in October. They have a place down there. Used to trailer his truck down, but sold his motorhome, so he driving the hot rod down.

Whidbey Island has a really big car culture; surprisingly active.

That gold rodney hits a lot of the sweet spots; It's a '34, my favorite Henry, Hemi with unobtanium M/T valve covers; the beehive oil filter looks genuine vintage, and Poncho taillights in the splash pan are right on any rod. Interior appears to be genuine vintage too. Nice copy of the "Greer Black Prudhomme" air scoop, and the flipper hubcaps and rubber rake look period perfect. I wouldn't be surprised it that is a "known" car, in the sense that the folks at Rodders Journal could tell you a lot about it.

The black rat rod is a jeep cj7 or yj with what looks to be on a s10 frame with a ford grill? I'm the middle of a similar build.

Can't help you much on that RAT. It's been around for quite a while, was built my students at a vocational school. Very cobblely, not much in creature comforts. Didn't know it was based on a jeep. I'll take some pics if you want, it lives just around the corner from me.

Its the jeep cowl that is so narrow that it makes the front stance look so wide.
Is it the cowl(sp?). That determines the description of a cobbled together piece like that?
I think that its neat that lots of young folks are into the rat rod thing lately. More of a roots of rodding thing. Piece together what you can find into something you can use and have fun with. A bit crude at times but basic and done at home. I like the hands on aspect.

Yep yellow we have had the pleasure of seeing your sweet street machine before, never too many pics tho :-) nice to see it out enjoying the good weather.

Thanks TEVAKE, as to your asking about bumpers or nerfs, I think original front bumper and nothing at the rear is what he'll end up with.

This Anglia/Prefect is owned by an acquaintance, but not built locally or by any of my Hot Rod building friends. It is however VERY nicely done. I would like to own it.

This blue truck used to be a 4 door sedan.
