VW outsold Toyota the first half of this year. They must be doing ok.

Don't know why so many have bad things to say about VW's. I daily drive a 2009 Jetta ..now with 150k on it. ZERO issues. My sister has. 2010 Wagon with ZERO issues also.

But much like Toyota, they had to sell their soul to get there. After seeing what GM has become, I'm not sure why being the biggest is such a goal for these companies.

Had about 10, from stock to heavily modified, and not one of them was a hoagie. Honest. Guess I got lucky.

I have two! 2002 Passat (V6 2.8 30v) and 2002 Golf (engined with 2.Slow's weak cousing 1.6.Slower) . They replaced Audi and SAAB. I'm almost miss the wrenching, they are boringly reliable.
New ignition coil from a junkyard and sticky trunk release mechanism is all that went wrong on Golf. Passat didn't require any work except from ordinary maintenance ...

I've never owned a VW product, but my brother-in-law has had his R32 Golf since 2007, and loves it. My son-in-law has the current Mk 7 Golf GTD and I must say the mid-range pull with 4 (European sized)adults and their weekend luggage on board is impressive, and it rides well

Our Jetta was pretty good for about 9 years, then it started having annoying issues. We'll probably replace it soon with a new non-VW product.

Does VW have Euro delivery? Could you get around the poor build by buying over there?
TC P.S.--I'm in IN and we have tons of Jettas and Golfs here. Also, my golfing buddy has a Passat Diesel and loves it. Again, YMMV |
