I picked up the latest R&T yesterday for airport reading, pretty darn good. R&T and C&D are really the only two I look at, Motor Trend has been a glorified advertisement for years and Automobile just seems really uninspired. Some of the other niche magazines are pretty darn good, like Sports & Exotics. I also like the British mags like Car and Top Gear, they still surpass any of the US magazines.

I get the R&T to the house, it's good and I like to have something to read instead of the interwebz...

Yep, the reborn Road & Track is terrific. Editor Larry Webster, who took over a couple of years ago now, has completely reimagined the magazine and its mission and in doing so, has transformed a title that had become tired and staid. Seemed to me that the old management were afraid to change a single thing from the days of John and Elaine Bond. Idiots. I've subscribed again for the first time in years.

Yep. I decided I wasn't renewing Automobile when they did a hit piece on Mitt Romney just prior to the 2012 election. I read car magazines to get away from that crap. Apparently I had prepaid enough that my subscription just now is going to run out. In the last six months they have completely overhauled the magazine's staff. I enjoyed reading Ezra Dyer. I could do without Jamie Kitman--who somehow remained after the shakeup.
