I remember that race. He made the podium with a busted collarbone and some hurt ribs.

I figured someone would build something like this, after they ran the Legends race last summer. Kind of thought it would be Harris, though..
They need to put different bodywork on it, it looks far to modern, even with period paint schemes. Now, they need to raise enough money to buy about 10 of them for the series. JR |

I'd be afraid to ride it, but I'm good with a wrench and could be the pit/team whipping boy!

Being that I've never ridden a bike, I imagine myself falling victim to "whiskey throttle"! LOLz!

Indeed. Not only is he a racing legend but he represents the sport very well. It is my opinion that a champion must treat their sport with respect and Rossi certainly does that. No matter where he is racing there is a sea of yellow.

Lorenzo is a little bit of a wild card with his shoulder, Marc broke his hand, he'll probably ride, but can he maintain his spoiler role?
Rossi, Dani, Jorge? |

I'm going with Rossi, since there should be rain there around mid-day. I'll say MM in 2nd, George in 3rd.

Lorenzo has ridden well when hurt before so he is always in the hunt. IF he is really hurting then Rossi has a better chance. Both Pedrosa and Marquez can spoil but if it rains Rossi is still favored. If it goes flag to flag then all bets are off.

Lorenzo had them all covered on day one. His protestations of "I'm fine" seem to be something other than a salvo in the psych war with Rossi. Maybe his injury won't hamper him. Marquez seems off his game though. Rossi did fair in FP1 but faded in FP2. Either he lost the plot or is working on race pace. You never know with him on Friday.
Still, the weather looms on Sunday. Look for Smith to do well. Maybe Nicky will bump the top 10, if conditions are favorable. JR |
