Yep, I ran the RE11s on my last 2 miata, and never had a problem with hydroplaning.

I know a number of DE guys that run the RE-11 as their rain tire. It is my only DE tire and I have been on the track, in rain, with them and they were excellent.

Yep, if you drive in a Texas flood RE-11> RE-71R. The 71R has better dry grip but will kill you quick in the rain.

My M235i came with non RF Michelin Super Sports from the factory. I like them a lot, they seem to wear at a reasonable pace and are have lots of grip.

I've become partial to General tires after running Exclaims on my 911 for years. Bought 4 for less than what it would have been for 2 Michelins. They don't make the Exclaim anymore but these are great tires.. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=General&tireModel=G-MAX+AS-03

I thought they were going to D/C the RE 11, the RE 71 is supposed to be the replacement, isn't it?
