$36K. That is really something.

Yes, the 928 is appreciating - especially now that Shaun bought one ... that money is okay with me, but NOT for a slushbox.

Seems like with the 911s headed for the stratosphere the 944 and 928 are finally getting some love. They are about the only option for a reasonable classic Porsche.
|
For the average guy without Shaun's ability and experience, i don't see the logic of buying a 928 or 944. If you looking for a project, that's one thing. But for a car to drive, If you're thinking the V8 @ 3500lb, seems a modern Mustang, BMW, or Camaro would be easier on the wallet..
If the 4 cyl. 944 route, I'd just go Miata. |

Why did Shaun pull out the engine in the first place? He's taking about a radiator, and next thing I see is photo of the engine being removed

At 48 I'm a little slower and more patient which makes for a more enjoyable experience under a car. I think the key is to do work on your terms which is not always possible. But when it is...

Have you been able to locate an NOS radio suppressor? The car won't be complete without it.

Back to the topic at hand, is that the only piston you need to get the engine back together? Man, do I really want a 928, just can't justify it to myself since the 911 barely gets driven as it is. I live through you for the time being. |
