Me too, must be some sort of character flaw. GD Jeepster jumped right out at me, even with all the other groovy iron hanging around in that pic.

I am totally a ragtop guy, prefer small cars too, so the Bentley does not do a thing for me. What is it with Jeepsters, is it because they look like Tonka Toys?

Phil, as long as you have your sense of humor, you will do just fine around here.

RR, Bentley loses apx 50% of value in the first year....why cause if you can afford let us say 200K for a used one you can afford to buy a new one at 300K. Also people who are in the new RR Bentley league don't seem to maintain their cars very well as oh well in a coupla years I will get a new one.

Mr Phil apparently is collectable hustler, in that he buys, sells and upgrades as he goes.

I'd like to have that Bentley in white or cream.
I don't do black cars...had only one and tough to keep clean, and they're hot in the sun.
.
Mmm...Jeepster, gooood.

Man some of you all don't have any chill. What if the guy was truly impressed with the CGT and listing the cars he owned as a measure how the CGT stands up against. You never get the emotions through internet. Some of you need to relax and lean back, watch. Some people calling him fake, calling him not having the cars, how do you feel like now? Like a dip s h i t right?

Yeah Philly came a little extravagant with his post, but after all ripping apart, still responds.

Anyways...

PS: CGT is an amazing machine. I work on them, they are a bit messy to work on, but delight to drive. If you need brakes, shoot me pm, I will cross reference you pads and rotors so you can avoid thousands of dollars from the dealer. Same applies to bunch of other repair, and maintenance items.

Good to see you've been hangin' out here a bit more of late!! I read any post of yours that I happen to see and consider this high praise from the fella that brought us "not haunted" and "you forgot your truck!"

I'd say good ole Philly has been accepted by most.

I hate me too ... I think I'll sell my Parerai watch and my Ferragamo shoes and all of my cool cars .. Ill take up yoga ... And I'll move to a duplex ... Next to Steve Carlton and Pro_sha911 ... And I'll spend the preponderance of my time bashing others that unfairly have been more fortunate than me ... Then I will love me ...

Fixed it for you. Remember, you can say anything you like here as long as you paint the text green! How much for the watch???

I offer a 1976 Timex in trade for the watch. It even works, and it has a gold stretchy band!

Philly, you haven't "arrived" unless you own a hovercraft.

Funny thread.

That Fiat 850 was so cool, I'm very serious.

I googled Ferragamo and Parerai... out of my league. If you have any nice fancy socks to sell, I might buy those from you, if you'd ship them.

I used to have a Fiat 850 Sedan... had 20k kms. Great little car but it was too rusty for me to do anything with at the time. I really wish I'd kept that one and just threw it in storage, possibly the only car I regret selling.

Hot tip of the day: it might be surprising to someone new, but this is a pretty working class forum, and the mob can get a bit touchy if they catch a whiff of pretension. There are plenty of members here who are MUCH more fortunate than the rest of us, and likely you, but they are laid back fellers who wouldn't want to come across as braggarts. Not saying that you are doing so intentionally, just saying there might be a predisposition here to call that kind of stuff out, even you hadn't intended to come across that way

Please post pics of your Parerai watch (or is it Panerai?). I'd like to drool over it and wish I was you.

There is nothing wrong with having really nice stuff. IMO, your entrance was either: a poser trying to be someone they are not (we have had those here), is a troll looking for attention, or simply a braggart. You don't walk into a room of strangers and introduce yourself by saying "my name is ___ and I own all this expensive stuff..." At best you have no class. Even the mod said as much.

I just think that for someone claiming to be your age you would have more discretion and social grace. Your continued I-will-flaunt-the-stuff-I-own-in-your-face posts only reinforces my original observations. If your original intentions were otherwise, you would have backed down from this continued stance.

The cars you say you own are very nice. I'm impressed by the cars. Money doesn't replace class. You sir, may have lots of money but that's about it. Being wealthy gives a person the chance to genuinely express who they really are. In some cases, wealth only magnifies the fact that the person is a jerk.

If you wanted attention then you've got it. If you want respect from the people on this board then that should be earned by whomever you desire respect from. I imagine you could care less if you have my respect. I'm just calling them like I see them. Others have gotten the same first impressions. What you do with it is up to you.
