Good luck. Not really familiar with Mustangs, though at one point I did desire a fastback. Maybe it was the Gone in 60 Seconds movie...

Apparently your reserve is more than $1500!

May I ask for your impression of the Street or Track front suspension?

Easily one of the coolest cars ever. Yours looks great. Tempting if I had more garage space.

That IS a beautiful car...
A friend of mine has a '65 (64.5, actually) sitting in his garage in various stages of completeness (it's torn apart for work/upgrades, but all parts are there). It belongs to him and his dad, but they kinda got sick of working on it. Willing to put it back together and sell for the "right price," which to them is $20k. I love the car...but is this a reasonable price for a car whose condition I would rate as "good" after it's all put back together, you think?

The S or T front coilovers are the best I found available. Well engineered & built and everything fits....a rarity in Mustang land, me thinks. It is a bit pricy for the Mustang crowd but worth every nickel. Clear & concise instructions come as a bonus. All that is used of the stock set up are the spindles. That took care of the front end. The rear is hopeless.......chuck wagon springs and a bunch of unsprung weight made any good fix beyond anything I wanted to get into......but did the best I could with the stuff available. So, the front I very good and the back rides like a dump truck.

Thank you!
Did you talk to SorT about their coilover/watts link rear suspension? Sorry for all the questions but I have a '67 coupe that I need to get moving on and would like to learn from unbiased others as much as possible.

Seats? One shot's got the original, the other's got sport seats.
The fastback really does look a lot sportier than coupe. Looks like the car is moving forward. I think I like the clear window vs. louvers. What is the front grille mod delete?

Yes, I have spoken to Shaun (owner) several times. Very sharp & helpful....a racer that tests his stuff. He does the best he can also. He has a decent rear end set up with coil overs........but still has that big iron lump back there......better than the buck board springs I'm sure, but......I'll pass. I took a pass at building up rear sub frame, so I have no one to blame but me.

There is only so much to be done with the live axle but as I'm sure you're aware, stepping up to IRS in an early Mustang is $$$$$ that will never be seen again and would most likely involve putting in a full frame.
Thanks and good luck with your auction! Quote:

It's gonna be outta here. Spending time with an interested buyer is a good plan.
He called and wanted to hear it run. Out to the shop we go. I hadn't fired it up for a week or so & told him so. It fired up on the 2nd (or so) turn. He was on the phone long enough to hear it settle down to a !000rpm idle. The auction ended at 10 AM this morning. Thanks for the good wishes. Now I need a new toy.
