Take the small, passenger-only ferry to Bygdoy and walk the museum loop. The Viking Ship Museum is pretty special.

So I got into Oslo yesterday morning. By dumb luck, I couldn't have planned it any better. I took the flytoget to the central station...which is right next door to the radisson blu plaza....which is right across the street from the spektrum, where I'm seeing Royksopp tonight.
I bought the 48 hour Oslo pass. Totally worth it. I visited all the museums on the west side: folk museum, fram, Viking ship, kon-tiki, and maritime. Took the bus back and hit up the modern art museum. More exploring tomorrow, then flying home Monday morning.....

Will post pics when I'm sober. I had an extra ticket to the concert, and I offered it to the hotel concierge this morning (guy about my age)....anyway, he invited me back to the hotel bar after the show and invited some female coworkers. Free drinks and good company!!

Making lefse is something we do on my dads side of the family. My grandmother was Norwegian. I have my great grandmothers lefse griddle and everything else I need to make it. I just haven't found the time to make it myself. I do miss the stuff.
