That's a GM boat from the '70's. That's a normal shutline.

As I remember my dad's 72 Olds cutlass you are correct sir!

True story, my brother accidentally slammed the door on my hand... it only skinned my knuckles!

Cutlass was similar but fairly different. Was curved without the sharp angle on the Riv.
Also did not have the chrome A pillar.

Further...

Do you think that JJ will be hangin' out in a Cutlass?????

Nope.

Riviera Baby.

Just listening to JJ, I remembered this thread. That was some good sleuthing. It all lines up.

I like the 67 Riviera better. But maybe I'll get a 71 for JJ. One thing I noticed was the clipped away shoulder belt in the headliner. That's another indication it is a later car.

I love the stories about JJ, how he lived in a mobile home, even when famous and the neighbors thought he is a trucker, because he was gone a lot.

Not that it helps, but I found a wider shot.

Yep, the lady who lived across the street from us when I was a kid had a Boat tale when they 1st came out, such a super cool car..
