No real options other than full leather.

Did the sport chrono pkg start with 997's?
Nice looking but that would be one heavy, slow car. Kind of a Porsche for people who just like the looks but don't care about the driving experience.

I'll concentrate on 996 turbos and early 997's with sport chrono. Not sure I'll find a clean turbo for $30 ish, but a early 997 should be doable under 30.

I was all over the idea of a 996 turbo for years, until I finally saw inside of one of them.
It didn't match my expectations from the outside impression.

This. I always though it would be cool to make sports purpose/cafe racer 996 with some aesthetic detailing inspired by the Boxster concept car. Could be fun.

Thanks, it's going to be interesting to see how it compares to my SC. Twenty years brings a lot of technology.

Don't know how many miles you have on your SC ,but once you get behind the wheel of that C4S you won't put many more on it.Ask me how I know!

OWP, do you happen to know a Mike Fox? I think he has a silver 996 with a body kit and is a PCA member in Wichita.

I've never met him in person, but we have talked through the local car club Facebook page. I am sadly un-involved in PCA, my three kids are all active in sports and it's really hard to make the meetings or events. I'm a long-time member and have only been to a handful of things, hopefully I can do better this year.

How do you like it? Now I'm waffling towards a 2wd coupe.

Drove it home Saturday with a big smile on my face. Just over 400 miles. The seller was a true gentleman and the car was as advertised. He even threw in a factory three spoke steering wheel for my 83SC. It clicked over to 69K on the way home. Current project is to correct the audio install by one of the previous owners. I have the car scheduled to go in for the LN IMS Solution and air/oil separator install in two weeks. Overall the car is "exceptional". I like the turbo look body and suspension.

Open the Frunk and look on the backside of the hood. There is a sticker which has the options on it. What year car are you looking at?

I simply typed my VIN into the Google search and the list of options came up in several websites. Auto detective was easy. First the car comes up, but if you click on Vehicle Specifications, it links to the list of options...At least it does for mine.

Think that's one of those spam bots? It was my quote, though. I figured that question out already.

Always nice to deal with a great seller, makes the whole deal that much better!
