Years ago when I had my Coronet convertible I was looking for some parts at a huge Mopar event and they had a KB hemi block sitting there. $1000 but it was not finish machined and I always wondered why I didn't pick it up.

Update on my friends ghetto warrior

Coming together pretty good, he's got the headlights fitting and working perfectly, a rarity on these cars I would think. Most of the difficult mods are done, trunk lid, back window area took a lot of time.

He hasn't got a hemi yet.,

If you're looking to buy a 426 Hemi, a 572 isn't that much more considering the added power you get from the bigger displacement.

Mopar Pro Shop - Mopar Performance Parts (MoPowered) - BIG BLOCK HEMI CRATE ENGINES

572 Street Hemi Package | For Hemis Only

Lots of options in between as well.

There's a guy in Osgoode Ontario (Welcome to ASE Motorsports | Classic Car Restoration) who was fabricating new metal Daytona nose cones after he had to make one for his own car. Not sure if Al's still making them but he's a great source of info for the wing cars.
