The biggest success of your life?
Biggest mistake thread left me thinking about my biggest single success: Married my wife in 1991.
I could list other things but this is the foundation that has built my happiness. What is your one thing? Larry |

Ditto.
I never dated casually. Every woman I ever dated, was the start of a long term (well, at least multiple years) relationship. As a result, my odds of finding the perfect mate were, perhaps, not very high. But I got lucky.

27,880 hours airbourne. No accidents, no violations, no injuries, not even any scratched paint.
At the end, around the world twice a month. |

Ditto on marrying the right woman. Helped me get my life straight, go back to school, and get into a real career. Oh yeah and that little thing about giving me three great kids and being my best friend. There's that.....

Marrying my wife made everything possible...I would have been fine, just not her in my life fine.
I know the difference.

Best DAY of my life was graduation after 7 years in school. Like a piano being lifted off my chest.
My first job...first day at 9:00am, VP calls me in: "I want you to go to HR, and have them find you an assistant" Walking back to my office...how ****** cool is THAT!! For me, higher education was/is the ticket. Like marriage(and Porsche's), not for everyone.

Leaving my hometown/friends/family to move into a management position after going through my divorce.
The best day was when I married my 2nd wife. She is the perfect partner for me.

Keeping a strong relationship with my daughter through a divorce, putting her through college debt free, and seeing her grow up into a beautiful, successful, and wondeful wife and mother.

Marrying my wife, and us both selling out of CA real estate and buying in Oregon. My house had $250k on the note and we sold it for $685....

Me too. I just played the last quarter for the Cavs.
My knees hurt right away. But I made one good pass once I got past the center line.

That would buy a fairly large legacy "rubber" neighborhood in Akron. Maybe Goodyear Heights. All of it.
Good for you. I only lost $50k is a winner's story here.

Definitely my kids. I got two really good ones who are both in college now.
Second would be becoming a professional/commercial pilot as I did that starting in my 30''s. Worked my butt off for many years and chased my childhood dream and successfully pulled off the complete career change. Last edited by rattlsnak; 06-16-2016 at 08:55 PM.. |

Like many have you mentioned, and the same for me too; my beautiful wife of 31 years. I swear she gets better looking every year.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I too would have said marrying an amazing woman >21 years ago, but that's out the window now.
So, I'll have to say buying a business for <$100K and reselling it for >7 figures 3 years later. I did merge with a competitor so had to split the haul, but still did pretty well. Not enough to retire, but certainly changed my life.
