Hit and Run in the BofA parking lot
 

I was at the bank using the ATM when I heard the sound of crunching metal. Looked up to see a young kid chasing his Honda car across the parking lot. He was doing his damndest to catch his car as it rolled away from him, un-occupied. I watched as he tried desperately to get back in and hit the brakes. Unfortunately his efforts were all in vain. His car stopped against the front end of another car in the parking lot. The original crunching sound I had heard was his car bouncing off the side of my Corvair. He removed his car from the front of the other and had parked directly next to it and had gotten out to inspect the damage and was looking around to see if anyone had witnessed the event. I was headed over to assure him that **** happens and it was no big deal when he jumps in his car and sped off, narrowly missing me. He knew what he had done and we were making direct eye contact when he passed me, not ten feet away.

Oh man ... Did you get the license plate #? Probably not his car ... Or no insurance ...

And the SOB's car left duct tape on your back window. Seriously, the banks security cameras should have caught it. Hopefully on an angle that shows his license plate.

I've been following your thread over on the Corvair forum. Very nice car.

I asked the branch manager if I could review the security cameras in the parking lot. She directed me contact the BofA legal Dept. I took that as a waste of my time. The other car that he hit belongs to a teller. I gave her my contact number. If she bothers to turn it in to her insurance, they might go thru the trouble of getting the footage. But frankly I kinda doubt it. There wasn't that much damage to her car.

They say runaway cars happen in threes. I wonder what will be next...

Couldn't have been SammyG, he'd never let that happen. You can scratch him off of the suspect list.

Report it to the police and let them get the video from BofA.

Let your insurance company chase the police.

Odds are 9/10 he was Rollin a temp tag.

Did he get money at the ATM? That should ID him quickly, if the bank works with you ...
