Never used coopers. I'm very happy with the Kumho venture AT's. Can get them in E load capacity and they work great in a field and arent noisy on the road. ~$125/ea.

I went with ther cooper.
shipping wa only 40 for the set. everyone else would add about 35 per tire.

I usually take tire reviews with a grain of salt.
I did not see any negatives on several sites about these tires.
also looked at what they were on.
quite a few F350's

I did look at that kumho.
would have been about 170 per tire with shipping.

I had Michelin LTX M/S (mud & snow), load range E on my F350. I wasn't quite satisfied with the grip off road, so the next tires had a more aggressive tread (not Michelins). I was disappointed the more aggressive tread didn't have any better traction either. The one big difference was fuel mileage. With the Michelins, my fuel mileage ranged from 18.4 to 19.2 on the freeway at 2K rpm's & 70 mph. With the more aggressive tread, that came down to 17.2.

I agree with Marv, I hated the stock Michelin's that came with my 350 the second i got off the pavement no matter what I was doing. It was even worse with a trailer on off the pavement. So I got some Hankooks, they have been ehhh, but I did notice a drop in mileage.

I have a 99 powerstroke 7.3 (7100#) that I pull a 2 horse trailer, and a 30' camper with no problems. I am using Hercules Terra trac HD tires and love them....good fuel mileage, low road noise, and seem to last for a long time. They have a SLIGHTLY more agressive tread pattern than regular passenger highway radials, but is greatly appreciated in snow/mud.

I think the Hercules Terra Trac are the ones I replaced my Michelins with.

Funny you should say that, I just switched over to BFG commercial tires on my dually, as it is mostly a highway truck for pulling trailers. ,I instantly noticed a significant fuel mileage increase , I went from 17 ish to 19 on my first trip out . So far, they are wearing really well , and drive nice . I would recommend them as long as mud,and snow traction is not your main concern .
