i have a hipower I bought about 20 yrs ago. I love it. I would like a 1911.
it depends on what you want it for. the 1911 you can do competition shooting. but for carrying there are other options. I carry an XDS45. it is heavy. its also pretty accurate but the trigger really sucks.

Not all BHPs are created equal. I have shot a friend's WW2 Canadian Inglis BHP back to back with the modern BHP. The older one just seemed to fit my hand better and was more accurate.
I have a few 1911's and like these. My favourite is my SIG P75 (real deal Swiss army 9mm P220).

I've always thought highpowers are ugly and poorly proportioned to the eye.
Also happen to believe accuracy in a gun with a barrel that is all of a few inches long is a somewhat silly issue. suspect fit in hand and control of recoil are far, far more important metrics and would think those vary by the person doing the holding.
