Already looking at my options. I guess 'horrible' is unfair. Its suspension that was setup with the knowledge that many people buying the car would be using as a daily driver on bad mid-western roads. It's quite comfortable, but it doesn't inspire much confidence.

Given that the car has a live rear axel, my aspiration in the handling department are pretty low.

Actually, even with the live rear axle, they can be made to handle damned well. Just ask any P car driver who has been shown up by a boss 302.
The Mach 1 was set stock more with the drag racer in mind, but there are many goodies available in the aftermarket..

These guys have a good reputation:

That's the first question Frank Barrett asked when I emailed that I'd bought a Mustang. Now, about that porcupine joke...

You could buy this solid rear axle 'Stang while not fearing too many street legal P-cars in the twisties...

Nice targa. Couldn't you just pawn some of your gold chains and get a Mustang with that?
Then you can keep the 911 and also have something for your daughter to drive.

Will it do 165 mph with the roof panel off? Will it turn 8,500 r.p.m.?

Either way, you gotta drop that front suspension about an inch and a half... I know you are in Winnipeg but still...

Of course it will. It's a 69 E with that huge 140 hp engine. ROW car so the speedo is in kph so it will hit 165 all day long. As to hitting 8,500 RPM the motor only has 110,000 km (65,000 miles) so it could hit 8,500 at least once. Maybe even twice.

A couple police officers who were guarding the house next door after it caught on fire last year were surprised when I told them the Honda parked behind it had more hp. The young cop (in his 20's) said "It looks so fast"

it's a targa so you were never really truly accepted as a peer here anyways.

admitting to putting a duck on a targa has put your pelican account at risk. you'll be lucky if you get to post in PARF after this.

now repeat after me "I got tired of people who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing".
