Ours is a 2WD truck. Not sure how that will work in CT.

Then again, he really won't be driving it very much at school.

The good part is the unit is so common 7-11 stocks them right next to the Beef Jerky rack. They can be had with warranty for under $700.00 locally.

The real debate is if I feel like crawling under there to yank it or can I stomach paying someone to do the swap.

There's nothing fun about laying on the ground with fluids and crap raining on me just to wrestle that thing outa there.

Back when I was a diesel mechanic, as the young guy in the shop I got the crap jobs. There were a string of Bluebird buses that needed rebuilt automatics, and I got every single one of the damn things. After being doused in it a few times, you NEVER forget the smell of burnt ATF. I can smell it now just typing this message.

Yup same happend to ours no reverse or second. It was pretty simple to do the repair the hard part was wrestling with it under the truck but even that wast too terrible
