I once got a speeding ticket for going 75 in a 25. It was westbound Highway 84, going uphill, right after a stop sign.

I contested it. The judge read the charges in court and everyone laughed. I said, "Not guilty" and everyone laughed even more. To explain myself, I then said I was driving a 1963 VW beetle. The judge immediately threw it out. In actuality, I was probably going 25. The cop must have been confused.

Oklahoma Turnpike Authority has the best roads in the state. That part of the turnpike is low traffic, heading west you can go fast if so inclined.
