It was thrashed on the track , but never stolen.

As a matter of fact, I'm been in the OC or Santa Barbara PCA chapters for 24 years, and POC for since 98, and I don't know one single individual who has had their Porsche stolen.

Even if true, it wouldn't change anything. That's what insurance is for. The car is way too damn fun to not drive at every opportunity.

We recently serviced a 964 based RUF RCT-evo. Was built some years ago by RUF techs who were sent over to put it together. I hate to say it, but not really very impressive based on how revered RUF is. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice car, made decent power etc. but hardly earth shattering considering what it likely cost back in the day.

Cheers

Ed Pink has been known in the hot rod world for decades. I once asked Grady Clay where he got engine knowledge. He told me it was from hanging around drag racing, adding that when it comes to engines, the hot rodders were tops. "Pink" rods were known to be the strongest available back in the day...Pink Rods & Keith Black pistons meant hell for stout...

Fwiw, Ed Pink and pink SBC rods were separate phenomenon.
