I'm at 7k. my white noise generator on the phone will sorta mask it. i always try to camp near running water. dead quiet places at night can result in a bit of an anxiety attack, for me.
We live 2 blocks from an active harbour, the background hum masks it pretty well at night time.
i'm gonna experiment with the Spooky2 protocol, then maybe the cold laser attachment, see what happens.

You can try this stuff. It helps some people, and it has helped me.

You are supposed to take it for 60 days to see if you get results. They sell it in the CVS drugstores around here.

Personally I blame all of my problems on Metallica and ACDC. There has to be a lawsuit in there somewhere!!

Yep. Aspirin. Surprised me too. I take Excedrin for headaches, which has both aspirin and caffeine. I've switched to only Tylenol, especially at night. Also, as we age the simple stuff gets more important like sleep, hydration, excercise, diet, etc.

I listen to a podcast called "sleep with me" Its a guy telling really boring stories in a droning voice for adults with insomnia. Sounds weird but it works.

Mine sounds like locusts. So it's always the sounds of summer in my head.

Try to fight it and it will drive you mad.

Tinnitus hearing-test - Sound therapy helps against tinitus, ringing in the ears

Click on 7000 and 8000 Hz.....

THAT'S WHAT I HEAR 60/60/24/7/4.2/12/365!!

She understood!!
That link is amazing. I'm at 4000hz and it changes as I turn my head.

And my tinnitus is now quieter than before I took the test!

LOL!
I'm pretty sure I know where mine came from. One summer while in college I had a job at a foundry, one of the products was the cast iron molds used to make earthmover tires. They were shaped like half a donut and about six feet OD and three feet ID. My job was to stand inside the mold and use a small jackhammer to smooth out casting imperfections. It was like being inside a bell for 8 hours. The company did not provide ear protection, and being 18 years old, I didn't think about it.

I had the same experience! I put on some headphones, turned off the left side (my good ear) and cranked up the volume to my right ear (aprox 80% deaf in that one) and sat and listened to 7000 Hz for about 5 straight minutes.....tinnitus gone!....for about 20 minutes.

hmmmmm....could we have a possible breakthrough here?

Update....

I had a fairly extensive hearing test done this am which, of course, showed a pretty deaf right ear (conductive hearing deficit)...surprise, surprise! ...but left is fine. I tried on their "supreme" hearing aid which is all calibrated to your specific hearing loss parameters and WOW! I must say that was quite the experience! I can farkin hear! and pretty comfortable too I must say!.....probably should have done this decades ago! So now I'm hooked!

I've put in my order for an Oticon Alta2 for my right ear....it'll be here in 2 days.

Designed to help your brain make sense of sound | Oticon Alta2

So I don't pay anything for 30 days. Luckily my wife has a very good medical plan (Manulife) with her employer. They cover $2000 every 5 years....great! This little guy ain't cheap btw.....$3825 cdn per, but a full 3 year service plan and unlimited batteries for 3 years are included.

WRT Tinnitus......I wore the device for about 10 minutes and, yes, the Tinnitus was totally masked and unnoticeable AND when I took it off, the effect lasted for about a half hour...so that's encouraging I'd say!

I have tinnitus , hearing loss and vertigo. left ear.

tried a hearing aid a few years ago. I could not hear any better with it (I plugged my right ear and had my wife talk to me) and they could not do a hearing test with the aid in to prove to me it helped so I did not get it.

Ya, I know! My wife's health plan should cover $2K so that sure helps.

Well, I just got fitted this am with my new hearing aid. It's actually the Oticon OPN model, their newest high-tech one and WOW! What a difference! I can hear 1000% better on the right side and the Tinnitus is totally masked! ...pretty comfy too.....as I said before, I should have done this years ago......idiot!!

Only one thing that bothers me now....WHY DOES EVERYBODY HAVE TO TALK SO LOUD!

welcome to a new world..

notes..
careful when taking of T shirts, sweaters..
your aide's can go missing..

dogs LOVE the plastic their made of ..
I know this for a fact..

oh and once you get used to them..
you will remember them ...
after you jump into the pool or get into the shower.
no big thing unless you stay there..
dry them, batteries out, and blow dry low & cool..
enjoy the new sounds..
in a few weeks you will not be able to function without them..

Rika
