I am more concerned about the special snowflakes that need to bring a friggen "emotional support" dog on the plane, which proceeds to take a crap.
Yeah, the guy was an idiot. Most airports have smoking areas outdoors, should have tried that....

Any form of smoking has been banned from flights for decades, correct? But then I still get in the security line behind the guy who tries to go through with his keys in his pocket and full size toiletries in his carry on. At LAX they have smoking areas inside security (little outdoor pavilions where you can go to get your nicotine fix) not sure how common that is though.

Remember those days when we dressed up to fly on an airplane?
I would wear a sport jacket and tie. Now days you see such sloppy dress...looking like pajamas, even. And their attendant BO. American freedom, I guess.

I believe it is a federal offense so he should be facing some court time at least.
Per part 121 I think.

Update. On my second flight I overheard two guys talking who were on the first flight. After push-back the cabin became permeated with the smell of pot. No one actually saw anyone smoking, but a lot of people recognized the smell. They speculate someone toked up in the toilet, but no one really knows because no one was actually seen smoking. Turns out the pot plane had actually loaded at the same gate our plane was at. It returned to an adjacent gate to unload and there was mass confusion about which passengers belonged to which flight because some of the passengers on each flight were on the first leg of trips to the same final destination, but different initial destinations. It was a total cluster fuch.
That's all I know about it.

Selfish as hell, hope they serve a little time for being an a-hole. I would extend the same comment to a cigarette smoker btw, don't allow your habit or political statement to inconvenience me.

Maybe one of the airline staff was having a "quiet moment", before passenger boarding (replace the glue with a doobie):
