Pilot bearing grease?

I'm putting a truck I own back together after rebuilding the engine and need to lube the pilot bearing. It is a needle bearing, I don't think it's OEM. The flywheel and clutch were changed from dual mass to solid flywheel at some point before I bought it.

The owner's manual calls for a special Ford 4x4 wheel bearing grease for the pilot but the local dealer doesn't have it in stock and I think that the original pilot was a bushing, (as opposed to bearing), anyways. There is a Ford spec for the grease, I could dig it up.

I have several different types of grease on hand from moly paste to wheel bearing grease to chassis lube stuff. What should I use?

It's a high temperature grease. I believe Pelican sells the Sachs grease.

If not, then I know for a fact that Redline sells the Porsche grease.

I've always used hi-temp wheel bearing grease designed for disc brakes. Never had any problems.

I would think that most any high-temp moly-based grease would work OK.

Thanks for the replies. I wound up getting some of the Porsche grease from Tyson, all good!

Moly grease is not the thing for roller bearings. Not sure why but it's not.

Anyone have a reason why this may be so?
