I agree, I have used mine for some questionable things :)
|
Dang, that's a nice jack. I hope to find something like that for my motorcycle(s).

It is still listed on the website. I have had mine for years and years, so I don't know if they changed where it was made or anything.

Here it is lifting and moving about a Harley.
Mr. Pork Chops ain't too swift on the lowering, however. . <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8eJk57F2XLs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I bought the Sears ATV jack and made it into an engine lift for the 911. Works beautifully for that.

An older thread I am bumping because I feel I am ready to buy and was looking for previous information about motorcycle lifts.
Seems like both the table and smaller ATV style jack would be useful, so I think that's what I will be getting - both from my local (Port Orange) Harbor freight. https://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-steel-motorcycle-lift-68892.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiMTY4MTIyMTgiLCJza3Ui OiI2ODg5MiIsImlzIjoiNTQ5Ljk5In0%3D&campaignid=2040 1559404&adsetid=152714187058&product=68892&store=3 156 https://www.harborfreight.com/1500-lb-steel-atvmotorcycle-lift-60536.html So many things - many just simple maintenance items - I have been neglecting just because it's so awkward trying to access everything! |
OTOH....friend of mine has one of these and swears by it! :)

Love my new Hi-lift 3 ton jack from Harbor Freight.
jacks up to 30" height which is great for my SxS. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-off-road-jack-59136.html |
I have like four different motorcycle jacks now. It depends on your objective (like changing tires) or just lifting to make work easier.
My Harley Dyna has a perfectly flat frame tubing that is easily liftable. But my little Sportster Sport, I have yet to figure out how to lift properly. And the BMW's are an entire different story. https://photos.smugmug.com/Motorcycl...N3qv2Lk-XL.jpg |

All I have ever used is an ATV jack. To include complete frame up rebuilds. And I like that I can push the bike off to the side when I’m not working on it.

The answer is pretty simple= buy a used broken HF table lift with the foot peddle pump.
Cut the crap jack out and install the air over in it . ( about 90 bucks at the time) It is about a 3 beer job. I searched the internet for a simple way to do it , but they all did it the hard way. just cut it out and weld it in where the old one was.
