How much would it cost to just dump a couple hundred lbs of ice into it every day or two? Would it work?

Pool cooler, funny, I use a pool heater since my pool is mostly in the shade due to the surrounding canyon walls. I get a few hours of direct Sun in the Summer and virtually no Sun in the Winter.

Back when I was in high school, a friend of mine's father would pick up hundred pound blocks of ice at the local ice house and dump them in their pool. He broke his collarbone once when he dove in and hit one.

Jesus, man. Cubes, not a 100 lb. rock.

Although the solid block would possibly work better or longer.
