Just remember it is called "balance". If you are not sweating it off, too much potassium can cause problems too. A sedentary friend of mine got on a sports drink kick and wound up in the hospital with kidney failure.

I dilute this by a factor of 4 and only use it when it is hot out and I gotta be out there. Lots of water and a dash of potassium and the other good stuff.

This year, it's been quite hot for a few weeks. Histircally, our summers have been fairly mild.. warm, but not HOT. I bought my first AC unit about 2007.

But the potassium supplement sounded promising so I looked it up and this is what is listed as possible side effects: Potassium can cause stomach upset, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, intestinal gas, and other side effects. Too much potassium is UNSAFE and can cause feelings of burning or tingling, generalized weakness, paralysis, listlessness, dizziness, mental confusion, low blood pressure, irregular heart rhythm, and death. ![]() So I guess as Jolly mentioned it's all about balance and as Daniel mentioned...dilute dilute...and then dilute some more.... I'm going to look into this because my legs do get sore at the end of the day, especially when it's hot out....

In addition to all the near death experiences listed above caused by Potassium, those with kidney disease should limit their intake of Potassium. Life's many complications.

What my Nephrologist says...so I eat a banana or two/day. . Electrolytes - I love Gatorade and drink a bit each day when it's hot and I'm sweating...but my diabetes doesn't like it.

And my AC crapped out, actually seems to be a bad breaker one that HD doesn't carry. Electrician coming tomorrow. 90 inside and I have more to pack for my big move in ten days.
Pulled out the big A$$ rv and plugged it in, so staying in it tonight. AC works just fine. We'll pretend that we're at the beach.

The people who fix A/C units or sell them must be busier than a whore on payday.

This is true. I am pretty sure my issue is diet. My eating habits are terrible. Too much beef and not enough veggies.

Was at a neighbor's (bachelor) BBQ today...he owns a split level house (is that what they're called?), basement, main floor, and an "upstairs".
Anyway, he just told us that he lives on his main floor, basement is for storage, and he never turns on his A/C...only uses fans house-wide. Main floor temp today - 86' Upstairs temp today - 94' "Approximately $40 - $50/month utility bill". In this heat, my bill is a little over $300. Scottsdale, AZ . He comes across as fairly sane, but yeah, he's known to be a might frugal.

We drove from Spokane WA to Boise ID on Thursday for my son's wedding. The C4S went over 98k on this trip. I put a new water pump, thermostat and coolant tank in it this past winter. I was nervous given the heat, most of the over 900 miles in over 100 degree temps. Highest temp we saw was 109. It performed well!

The diluted Electro Mix did away with lower leg cramps. I also use Tumeric. Not only does it help with the aches and pains of the early 60's but I now find out that it helps a bit with sleep. Seems to work.

![]() I put up the sail shade over 1/3rd of the pool to help help keep the temp down. I need one of these: ![]() $1313 and it will cool the pool 96 KBTU/hr.

I'd like a cold plunge next to my pool. In Palo Alto, CA there's a spa called Watercourse Way that has many rooms with various features...all with hot spas, some with a cold plunge. Highly invigorating when you hop out of hot water and into super cold water. . Been meaning to lace a cover over the deepest end (8') of my pool also. When the water gets around 90' it's no longer fun.

It's been hot in SoCal as well, 90s in L.A. and it climbs fast if you go over the hill. This was Glendale on Saturday: Thankfully, we have a cool ocean to jump into that also moderates temps somewhat. The world is getting hotter.
