Amazon Business account

I got an email from Amazon to open a free business account. Offers business-only pricing, free 2day shipping, multi-user accounts and analytics.

Anyone have one? Pluses... Minuses?

Is business-only pricing more or less than consumer? I don't want to have to open a different "consumer" browser and check pricing every time. This is after hearing that flight sites change their pricing on the number of times you search for a flight.

Hi Shaun,

I use it at work, but I guess I've never checked on prices. I do it because we're tax exempt and by supplying our number, we don't get charged tax.

I'll try and remember to check prices tomorrow, anything in particular that you want me to look up?

One thing I dislike and it is only an issue with how accounting needs receipts is that if I order several things at once, my card might get charged multiple times, so when my work card statement comes, I have to go through my past orders and print out each invoice.

I think from a business standpoint they should bill business monthly and then dole out payments to their vendors- I'm sure that would be a nightmare for them though... or a way to make a ton of cash at the expense of little guys.

Reach out to Sidney (Porsche4life) I think he's an Amazonian. And thanks for the vino! Too hot right now for the red but once it cools down that cork is poppin! Hope all is well!

We use it at work. No downside as far as I can see.

Thanks, all good to know. Rutager, I recently bought a ton of stuff for a Tacoma. Good test pieces might be:

front bumper, paid $79.88
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009I6DWUW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

rear bumper, paid $170.62 now it's showing $169.59 (that's weird but strengthens my point)

Glad you got it safe and sound, October and later I would think is a good time for it.

Don't know if it works for business, but if you change browser to smile.amazon.com, same prices and they donate part of sale to charity(your choice)

Shaun,

Took a screen shot and emailed it to my work, so will see it tomorrow morning and will do a search.

Hi Shaun,

The bumper prices came up identical on my business account.

Thank you Rutager! So I wonder what business-only pricing is.

I just checked the parts above while not logged in to Amazon and surfing 'anonymously':

Front bumper is the same price listed above.

Rear bumper is showing $168.50 and free shipping.

Thanks Scott. I wonder if the price is tied to currency fluctuation in any way.

I'll get the account and see how it goes. Thanks again for the input.
