Just replace them?

Yeah, go ahead and price out some 996 headlights. They are made out of pure gold according to Porsche.

On new or nearly new lenses I use Plexus and they stay clear for far longer then without.

.... this is another reason why I drive older cars.

I fixed the headlights on my GF's newer Benz. Full wet sand polish then painted with a twopac clear. That lasted about 18 months before the tops became hazy again.

I do wonder, why we put up with crap like this?

I've used toothpaste and an old toothbrush. It depends how bad the lens is. It's quicker than sanding and polishing.

Some do.

Here's a tech tip: Do NOT use ammonia products (windex?) on PC (polycarbonate.) Or anywhere on a car's plastic.

Oh, and Armorall will yellow clear plastics.

I buff my headlights and they get hazy after a few months. Bought this at the start of the year and did the headlights on my Murano. 6 months later, they still look good.
