I guess I actually don't have any facebook "friends". Every one of the 100 or so "friends" that I have on facebook are people that I have had face to face conversations with, and are real life friends, or family. It eliminates alot of the drama B.S. that networking, social media queens tend to bring to the table.

Same here. With the exception of maybe 5 of my FB friends, I know them all personally. I never really understood the allure of friending people I don't know, and letting them peak into my family's lives.

I don't hate FB. But I do hate being frequently advised by Facebook people that 'you would love it' or 'you have no idea what you are missing' and that it is just not possible to live a full life without FB. Ummm, no. I know exactly what it is and I'm missing nothing.

I have many relatives and/or friends who I have totally lost track of because they communicate only via FB. I've missed birth announcements of close relatives because they are FBers who can't be bothered to make a phone call or send an eMail and just assume, inside their little FB bubble of a world, that everyone gets their information there. Beside that, my 20-something daughter says FB is mainly for 'old people' these days .... and I don't need any more reminders of that

Since my youtube debut as DocFluffer, as it turns out, my daughters have feared the day daddy discovers Facebook. Dreading further spreading of embarrassing material closer to their social circles.
That day has come.
