Piss stains on carpet
 

Long story short, new retriever pup managed to piss on my theatre room carpet more than a few times.
Nasty smell, and ugly stains.
Had the carpet professionally cleaned twice now, the last guy used stuff so toxic that we had the windows open for days.
Looked great until the carpet fully dried, odor gone, but stains still there.
Does the collective brain trust know of some secret solution to prevent me from laying out big dollars to switch it out?

White vinegar and baking soda. Do a quick Google search for instructions. I've had to use this a few times for my dogs when puppies, works well. Steve

Just pee on the rest of the rug to make it all match in color. ;)

Here is something to think about the next time you need new carpet. Our condo building had new carpet put in the hallways recently. If a senior spills cooking oil or has a slow leak( I am not familiar with the latter yet) and it stains the carpet the affected area can have one or more of the squares replaced. The carpet is made of squares which can readily be removed and replaced. :)

Try to eliminate the smell immediately. Dogs go where ever there are dog smells already. They don't go inside the den. Spanking (negative reinforcement) doesn't work. Positive reinforcement works. Have treats near the door, go outside with him at first until he's used to it, give him a good boy as soon as he goes. Now it's a good thing to go outside. He gets praise. He will want to do it and will let you know when it's time to go outside.

We've had really good luck with the enzyme removers. Fortunately our pup is older now...

Peter most dogs go by smell.

They can usually hold it all day long unless other physical factors are a problem. Better than us old humans.
They sell training pee-pads for the puppies.
Move them towards the door and the pup associates it with going outside.
(or at least it is contained.)

Is there any way to train her to go in a certain spot?
Or control/contain her in a smaller area such as one room she knows and understands?

This room is for her control. This corner only is for her dog business. All else is clean.
That type of thing.

The trick is to get to it as quickly as possible. Unfortunately in your case I think the best option is to replace the carpet.
I've never seen anything that completely removes urine stains.

This is my spot cleaner. I've used it recently to clean up my W140 but it often comes out when I have people over and they spill something on my carpet.
Suck up that red wine in an instant. ;)

We've struggled with this ever since we got our Schnauzer pup two years ago. Tried everything- enzyme stuff, vinegar treatment, expensive cleaners, etc. the only thing we found that works is to put baking soda on the stain, mix some dish detergent (a teaspoon per cup) in hydrogen peroxide and pour on the stain. Work it in, let it stand for 1/2 an hour, then suck it all up with a wet/dry vacuum.

I used to have one of those as well. My dog used to mark the house. Worked pretty well. Sopped up as much as I could with a dry towel. Then used that to clean up as much as possible. After that hit the area with Natures miracle.

My border collie has never gone in the house except when she was brand new to us.
That one time, she went pee in my hockey bag and on some plastic I had in the basement when I was insulating the walls.
Fast forward 7 years. I was at my mom and dad's house last Sunday after some overnight guests had left. They had their dog with them, I think a poodle. Pepper walks into the house after being in the back yard for a while and promptly goes pee in the middle of the living room carpet.
Not much came out. She pinched off the flow when I yelled at her and I scared the wits out of my mom and dad...
Edit: I got a new hockey bag after that episode!
