I'm happy Sparty won. I don't think there is really any need for chest pounding. The game was effectively over when the rain started. Neither offense could do anything.

The Spartoons are very young and inxperienced rebuilding team. That yellow and blue team WAS ranked 7th in the nation.

That M Go Blow team had 5 turnovers and was still within 4 points of the WINNERS, so there is that. It was like Electoral College Football.

KSU was nice enough to give the game away to UT. Who the hell calls multiple inside run plays from their own 15 with 4:00 left and only a 3 point lead, then wastes a time out because the play call isn't clear? Then gets three straight penalties in OT? And starts switching between the starting QB and backup in the 4th quarter despite the starter playing well? Playing to not lose typically means that you will ultimately lose. I'm pretty much done with this season, and starting to think that it might be time for Snyder to retire.

This weekend sucks BIG TIME for me. I went 1 for 7 (SEV-****IN-EVEN!) ARGGG. So many teams let me down. I picked a bad week to stop drinkin' 'Nuf said...

Baz, what's up with the new uniforms??? Looks more like something you'd wear for hunting gators in the swap! The all orange uniforms were bad enough (looks too much like Clemson) but the gator camo is coyote ugly.

I'm officially off the Mac train after watching us blow this game tonight.

We're up by 1 with 5 minutes left and we have the ball on our side. Eat up some clock but more importantly....move the chains and keep possession - right?

We run the same play 3 times in a row. Davis up the middle. The first time we get good yardage. The last time we only needed 2 yards. Could have play action passed or ran a slant or a draw or - anything...but we ran right into a stuffed box. Surprise surprise....we are a yard short. So with 4 minutes left....we elect to punt. Duh....all they need is a FG to win. What does Mac think our defense can do at this point? It's the end of the game and they are gassed. Of course...A&M goes down field and kicks a FG and leaves less than a minute left, while we burn all our time outs in order to leave a little time on the clock. Then Franks throws an interception...game over.



Stupidity.......just stupidity.....I knew the game was over when we ran the same play 3 times in a row......and Mac didn't have the stones to go for the 4th down...when we had been making them all night.

My favorite team, the Oregon State Beavers, lost to Colorado. So, still a goose egg in conference play.

My second favorite team, whoever is playing the University of Oregon Ducks, won in a blow-out.

Also my congrats to the Sun Devils for upsetting the formerly #5 ranked Washington Huskies.

Yes, as hard as it is to believe, there is football other than in the SEC.

I was channel surfing and watched a few minutes of the game in the fourth quarter and I thought UF had it wrapped up, but didn't take into account McElwain would resort to using Mike Shula's playbook. Back in the day when Shula was the head couch at Alabama, he drove me nuts when they would run the same play repeatedly and the net result was one or two yards. He was at his worst when we played Auburn because he never beat them as the head couch.

Speaking of stellar coaching performances, Malzahn blew a 20 pt half-time lead down in Baton Rouge. Don't tell my sons (they both are AU grads), but I was pulling for the LSU!

Buckeyes have them at home next weekend. We'll see if the Buckeyes have improved much since that mess against Oklahoma
