There is a menu on the right side that you can use to change the information being tracked.

This site is so cool, and will be on my "favorites" from now on. I am somewhat of a weather junkie also.

35 years of Florida living and some tips

I first moved to Broward County in 1952 and lived there until 1996 but I have always had a connection. \

What most people do not think about is when a storm apprroaches from the south it passes over the glades and as we all know these storms feed no warm water and this feeding freenzy continues until lake Okeechbee which is nothing more but more warm water. The storm that hit in 1929 blew the water out of the and flooded the land on the north side of the lake

The highest ground is in Coral Ridge around 26St ad 25 Ave

I would look for a chance to park my car in one of the above ground garages down town. I bet they fill up fast.hiu=

My son and i put up most of the storm shutters today. Quick job to finish tomorrow.

Wife waited over two hours in line for free sandbags before the police made her move with others. She was in the line to turn onto the proper street. The line was blocking traffic, what did the police expect? She is going earlier tomorrow.

Now would be a good time to visit a Porsche enthusiast in Ohio.

My parents 5th wheel and boat are on Big Pine Key. Nothing they can do about it. If they take a direct hit, the camper will certainly be gone. Boat is in a storage yard at about 12ft. With any luck it will stay put.

Stay safe guys. If it's coming your way, get the hell out of there.

I flew into Ft Lauderdale late Sat, drove to Key West Sunday. Long story short, left yesterday around noon, just made it home (NJ). I wanted to get out before the rush.

By late tuesday morning, supermarket shelves were cleaned out of bread and water. Gas lines 2 blocks long. Home Depot was about out of plywood. No gas cans, etc. Motor home park (Big Pine??) most had left.

As we drove through FL & Georgia, saw quite a few trailers of wood and machinery headed south.

I can't convince a good friend to leave......

I wish the best of luck to those of you in the path of this hurricane. I hope you all escape the worst of it.

Nobody seems to be talking about it, but Cuba looks like it will be heavily pummeled by Irma.
