Edd who?
Did anyone else notice the bolts sticking through the roof on the dodge A100 van? They were used to hold the light bar on (stupid idea) and they stuck down into the cabin near the drivers and passenger's heads so they'd get a lobotomy first speed bump they hit. Good idea guys, well executed! M I C .......K E Y...............M O U S E! At least Edd would have hit them with a little rattle-can paint to hide them. ![]()

I like Mike. I've always liked Wheeler Dealers. I like Edd better than Ant, but that's because he's familiar. Ant has more enthusiasm and is less goofy and charming than Edd. I will keep watching.
I like Graveyard Cars. I really like Mark Worman. I think he's funny as hell. So there.

They need to go back to fixing broken cars instead of fixing up something nobody wants. They are selling the van in Europe because they cant find a buyer here in the states.

That's 3 episodes in a row tackling "cars" I don't care about... I realize this show is not geared towards ME, but wheeler dealers got popular doing cool european cars, mostly... With the occasional Vette thrown in. Now it's like minivan after pickup truck after muscle car.. I don't need another el camino build or whatever, there are *20* shows on these with tatooed/bearded/bandana'ed presenters on Velocity already.

Yeah, I'm out unless something cool comes up.
Here is a bracket to mount the caliper, commercial. poof, brakes done. I hear you, not for me, if it was I'm sure most would find it boring. Pretty clear what Edd knew was coming. Maybe I'll record a few old re runs, it used to be really good. |

Yeah, I enjoyed it more when they did a Lancia Delta integrale or a Peugeot GTI, stuff I dont; see everyday here. I saw the ranchero and deleted the recording... Next one..

Gave it another try just to see what the new guy was like... he seemed pretty cool... didn't watch long because I found Mike Brewer annoying.. he was amusing when I first started watching a few episodes, but that English charm only goes so far.
Just IMHO

Austin Healey 3000 episode - it looked like the paint and all chrome were new just before the auction. However, new paint and chrome were not listed in costs or featured in the episode. Of course they don't list the value of Ant's time just the hours. They made a big profit per the cost listing on the show but if they included paint and chrome it might not have been much or any. If in fact they painted the car and didn't list it in the costs, I'd say this is a new low for the show. I think Ant is a pretty good wrench.

It's nothing new... The premise of the show is "If you do the work yourself" (and are 1/2 as talented as Edd or Ant)... Edd used to say "it would cost you $xxx to have that done at a shop". At least now they show the man hours total, early seasons did not...
The car looked dirty before but it might just have come up with some polish...At least it wasn't another american truck (we got 17 shows for that on TV already)... In many cases I think the folks who buy back their cars (it happens quite a lot) are the smart ones, they got labor for 30% of the actual cost overall... |

The real heros of that show are the invisible detailers who make the cars look shiny and pretty right before they get sold.

I wasted another hour last night that I'll never get back.
So a Supra was remade to stock - get over it and move on. And by the way what's the going rate for the 39 hours of class A mechanics this year? So - they lost about $5,000 right? Bill K

Something I‘ve noticed on Wheeler Dealers lately since they’ve moved over to SoCal... Why does Mike buy nearly all the cars in Northern California? I grew up in LA and the selection of old, rust free cars is amazing (though maybe not as plentiful as 20 years ago). Yet, Mike always heads North to pick up cars. I think the 240 and the 2002 were the few bought in SoCal.
Now if they could just get rid of Mike and concentrate on simply rebuilding the car.

Northern California has lots of scenic roads, nice footage of them rolling.

I think the new series with Ant is great. Mike has mellowed out a lot and Ant seems like a great mechanic and super enthusiastic about his job.

I do not think its great but it is getting better. Watchable at least. They almost lost me after the first 3 episodes. They are finally doing some cars I like and Ant is actually doing some wrenching.
