Grand Tour
Season 2 started. Pretty good, definitely entertaining though a little slow at times, miss James May's hair.
The Rimac looked great, when not burning up.

I liked the first ep of season 2. Looks like they are finding their groove finally! Can’t wait to see the rest of the season.

Glad that celebrity brain crash stopped, I would cringe when it came on

My son and I watched yesterday. We have been looking forward to the new season. Good start! In the drag race it looked to me like Clarkson was toying with May

Feels more natural now... James May changed the most, he is starting to look older and wider... Hopefully they can keep this up without killing Hammond for another couple of seasons...

OK, my turn to look like a dumb old dinosaur:
My wife has an amazon prime account that gets her discounts on shipping etc. Is that all that's necessary to stream this content on a 'puter or smart TV? |

Yep, that is all.
Just log into the account like yer gonaa buy something, and look in the upper corner. Look for the Prime button. It will have the links to the videos. Lots of movies or other TV shows to watch.

If you buy a firestick ($25-40 depending on which way the wind blows) you could plug that on an HDMI port and watch all that good stuff on your TV, too...
Grand tour deserves a TV ;-) |

Amazon prime has many great tv series. And a lot of great movies. Free. Well free once you have paid for prime.

Or a smart tv, or a Roku. I have a Roku so I can stream lots of stuff.

From the start of the second episode I knew I was going to be disappointed. I knew I wasn't going to get a feel for the power of that car. I was hoping they'd hit some road course and really open it up. Ford GT is one of my favorites.

Am I the only one?
It's not as good as Top Gear. I was looking forward to it but the constant clowning is getting annoying.

I had the same thought while watching episode 2 last night. I still enjoy the rapport between the guys, and the car porn is always good. My opinion is that they are still trying to stay too close to the Top Gear model. Still have a celebrity in a car spot that takes up way too much time, still have a somewhat forced news segment, still have a driver taking the car around a track. I would like to see more car segments and maybe something new and unique. I still enjoy it more than the current Top Gear, but it's not as good as Top Gear in its prime.

Weird episode. The call to Jet Blue to change the flight details - really?
Apparently you can just drive as fast as you want to from NYC to Buffalo - judging by the multiple shots of the tach pegged in 7th gear in track mode? Did they ever name the woman who tracked the GT R? (I like that car, BTW!) And the whole schtick with Hammond as the the eternally picked on hangdog. Frankly, he's not a good enough actor, and it always comes off as forced. But, it's sure as hell a lot better than a whole lot of TV, and the sound and photography and details are still fantastic, the helicopter shots of the Ford GT in downtown Manhattan for instance.
