Did the install today. The old one was original or OE. Plastic impeller and Porsche numbers on it. Impeller was perfect but the bearing was worn out and that took out the seal. If I had all my fingers it would not have been a bad job. I chose to leave the thermostat be. I was mostly happy that it was just a water pump problem and not something expensive. :D:D

Well done!

Thanks. I hope it is done well. Torque spec of 7 ft pounds is like nothing. I drove it around 25 miles and crawled under it looking for leaks. So far, so good. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/beerchug.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/beerchug.gif

the pump is no biggie.
I'm faced with the coolant pipe assembly that needs replacing, and that pos plastic thing snakes through the engine mount ans in a royal PITA to get out.. have to take the engine mount off. Which is not all that fun for DIY without a bridge. |
Just want to add one thing. Thanks to Pelican Parts and FedEx for getting parts to me in 3 days. Pretty awesome.
