A simply awesome game...doesn't get any better by both teams....and that's why they play the game...our opinions are like polls...

I'd have to say a highlight was when just a couple plays after Brady failed to catch a pass while wide open Foles got the same opportunity and nailed it.
I suspect Brady felt a little deflated after that.

At one point Al Michaels and Collinsworth were discussing how the placement of the LLI logos may have contributed to the kickers having problems.

It was a great game w the usual crazy plays or calls that seem to be in every SB. The big interception that Brady threw really turned the momentum in the Eagles favor.
It was a classic case of, "the clock stopped w one team having more points then the other." Five minutes later could have seen an entirely different outcome. Wish I could say that about the Vikings' loss in the playoff to Eagles, it wouldn't feel so bad as the blowout that happened. They simply didn't show up for that game. So different from last year's game.

So, any "inspirational" posters out yet?

As a Philadelphian..... this was a dream season......
To me the most striking attribute of this team was the management that built it and the coaching staff. Chip Kelly trashed the personnel two years ago; in short order Howie Roseman transitioned personnel in yr1 and upgraded again prior to and during this season. This included the decision to cut Daniels and re-sign Foles this year. Talk about nuanced decisions. The coaching staff, enough can not be said, all year they adjusted to whatever was thrown at them. This included the late season adjusting of the offense from Wentz to Foles. Candidly, it makes for an interesting question was it Wentz's greatness or Pederson's offense that made the Eagle's play so well this year. (Wentz was crucial for the team to gain its confidence and is this team's future.) At this point, they will all return again next year. It is almost a Hollywood script for both Foles and Roseman as they were both pushed to the side under Kelly's regime.... Last edited by Macroni; 02-05-2018 at 05:52 PM.. |

His trade stock just went WAY up. Philly should be able to trade him and get a few high round pics or another valuable player to fill a gap or two. Who knows? Maybe Pittsburgh will trade Le'Veon Bell for Foles and Ajayi (yes Bell is that good). Would make a decent trade and give the Steelers a good backup for a year or so until Ben retires. |

I was talking about the actual interception, not that fumble.

The entire game had one turnover. That fumble was it. Maybe you were watching a different game?

Nick Foles had one interception against him. Ball bounced out of receivers hands and into a pats player.
Brady wasn’t intercepted all night. Really happy for all the eagles fans. You won’t find a more dedicated (and rowdy) bunch.

Wow...sad to hear that. I stand corrected...forgot about the turnover by the Eagles...an interception. No interceptions thrown by Brady...reading his stats alone, you'd think the Patriots had won...over 500 yards passing? And still lose? Ouch!
Well, I'm happy for those Eagles fans who didn't use the win as an excuse to burn & pillage. The others? Not so happy for them...

Foles looked much sharper than Brady. Threading the needle all night. Receivers deserve a ton of credit too. Some precision work going on out there.

Anything is possible but after that performance I don't see Foles being traded to a team to be a back up . He'll want to be a starter and I can't say I blame him . He was ready to walk away from football once already so I doubt he'll take a back up position . But if the monies right who knows . He's in a good place right now that's for sure .
